Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for a Remote (U.S.-based) role on a Cloud Services team. The ideal candidate will act as a cloud SME, designing secure, scalable solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP while leveraging Terraform, Ansible, and automation tools.

Responsibilities include security tooling deployment, cloud strategy development, and collaboration with CSPs to advance digital transformation and security initiatives in a client-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of systems engineering and architecture experience.
• 3+ years of cloud architecture and automation (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency with Terraform and Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a cloud SME for design, architecture, and deployment using Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools.
• Partner with CSPs to support digital transformation and security initiatives.
• Design and implement security tooling (e.g., Tenable, Trend Micro, AquaSec, Defender, Burp Suite).
• Develop cloud and security strategies, roadmaps, and architecture visions.
• Translate customer goals into secure, scalable cloud solutions.
