Job summary

Moniepoint is seeking an Engineering Manager to drive delivery across the Site Reliability Engineering tooling team, translating product requirements into actionable EPICs and tasks. You will collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, QA, and UX to ensure timely, high‑quality feature delivery.

You will plan sprints, track velocity, and manage dependencies while reviewing designs and maintaining strong technical standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Software Developer or similar role.
• 5+ years of Node.js / Python experience.
• At least 3 years in leadership.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies, sprint planning and backlog management.
• Ability to break down complex requirements into EPICs, stories and tasks.
• Backend engineering expertise; frontend knowledge is a plus.
• Familiarity with deployment pipelines, CI/CD and related metrics.
• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery and execution within the Site Reliability Engineering tooling team, translating requirements into EPICs and stories.
• Plan and organize sprints, define timelines and milestones, and manage task dependencies.
• Track team velocity and coordinate alignment across stakeholders to prevent bottlenecks.
• Contribute to design patterns and code reviews to maintain high quality.
• Ensure monitoring, observability, SLIs/SLOs, and publish post-deployment product metrics.
