Piper Companies is seeking a Remote Site Reliability Engineer to join a growing technology and infrastructure services organization. The SRE will focus on improving platform stability, observability, automation, and enterprise-scale reliability in a collaborative environment.

The role emphasizes monitoring, incident response, and driving best practices across cloud infrastructure, with 3+ years of SRE/DevOps experience and hands-on scripting in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in SRE/DevOps/Infrastructure related discipline.
• Hands-on with monitoring, observability, logging, and alert management in enterprise environments.
• Scripting in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar.
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of configuration management, vulnerability remediation, and sysadmin best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting to increase visibility across environments.
• Drive platform reliability by analyzing performance, availability, and capacity trends.
• Manage patching and security remediation to maintain compliant environments.
• Develop automation to streamline tasks and reduce manual work.
• Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term improvements.
