Job summary

Rustici Software is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join our team, working with AWS-hosted infrastructure and a mix of remote and in-office environments in Franklin, TN. You will help deploy, monitor, and maintain large applications and hundreds of customer environments, collaborating across security, dev, and support teams.

Successful candidates bring strong Unix, AWS, IaC, and CI/CD experience, plus familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern scripting languages.

Qualifications

• Experience with Unix CLIs (zsh/bash) and Git for system administration.
• Extensive experience using AWS resources in deploying highly available web platforms.
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code across environments.
• Experience with security tools, controls, and policies.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline configuration and orchestration.
• Experience with deployment and orchestration of containerized resources (Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Assist in improving internal automation via Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Maintain and enhance the infrastructure control plane with new features.
• Act as primary contact to monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues on a weekly on-call rotation.
• Collaborate with Director of DevSecOps and SRE team to improve security posture, reliability, performance, and cost.
• Collaborate with product teams on deployment direction and operational factors.
• Collaborate with support and integration teams to assist with customer environments deployment and operations.
• Continuously improve knowledge of best practices in site reliability, security, automation, networking, and operations.
