As a Sr. .NET Software Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our cutting-edge suite of utility billing and CIS software solutions. This role demands a deep understanding of the .NET framework, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a genuine passion for technology. This remote role welcomes candidates anywhere in Canada and the US in Central or Eastern Timezone. This role requires travel 1-2 times per year within the US or CA. A valid passport might be required for the travel.

What your impact will be :

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of new features and enhancements for our software products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, quality assurance, and support, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code using C#, SQL, Blazor.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for efficient data access and manipulation.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and ensuring adherence to coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues and bugs in a timely manner.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our software products.
• Mentor and guide other developers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.

What we are looking for :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in C# .NET Development.
• 5+ years of experience with MS SQL.
• Strong understanding of software development best practices, including Agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent understanding of design patterns and architectural styles.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

What would make you stand out :

• Proficiency with one or more of the following front end tech : React, Angular & Blazor.
• Design, Build and Maintain APIs.
• Familiarity with Azure and microservices architecture.
• Experience with utility billing software or CIS.
• Experience with SSO.
• Proficiency with creating and maintaining DevOps pipelines.
