As a Sr. .NET Software Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our suite of utility billing and CIS software solutions. This remote role is open to candidates anywhere in Canada and the US in the Central or Eastern Time zones. Travel may be required 1-2 times per year within the US or Canada, potentially requiring a valid passport.

What your impact will be :

1. Lead the design, development, and implementation of new features and enhancements for our software products.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, QA, and support, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
3. Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code using C#, SQL, and Blazor.
4. Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for efficient data access and manipulation.
5. Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to coding standards.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues and bugs promptly.
7. Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to improve our software products continuously.
8. Mentor and guide other developers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.

What we are looking for :

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. 7+ years of experience in C# .NET Development.
3. 5+ years of experience with MS SQL.
4. Strong understanding of software development best practices, including Agile methodologies.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team.
6. Deep understanding of design patterns and architectural styles.
7. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

What would make you stand out :

• Proficiency with front-end technologies such as React, Angular, or Blazor.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining APIs.
• Familiarity with Azure and microservices architecture.
• Experience with utility billing software or CIS.
• Knowledge of SSO implementations.
