Responsible for providing quality loan processing, reviewing files for adherence to underwriting standards, and ensuring completeness of submission. Obtains necessary information (i.e., loan applications, credit documents, appraisals, etc.) to process and complete mortgage loan files. Performs all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, where the company operates. The target pay range for this position is $58,000 to $70,000.

What You’ll Do

1. Review loan submissions, monitor incoming documents, and verify data collected by Brokers.
2. Obtain necessary information (loan applications, credit documents, appraisals, etc.) to process and complete mortgage loan files.
3. Organize and input loan information into the company’s Loan Origination System (LOS).
4. Maintain open files, order appraisals, send verifications, and acquire documentation related to Borrower and property.
5. Ensure the work complies with Company policies, procedures, and investor guidelines.
6. Ensure all loans meet Company and Investor guidelines.
7. Communicate with external parties (Escrow Officer, Title Officer, Realtor, etc.) to resolve issues.
8. Communicate with internal staff (Sales, Underwriting, Funding, etc.) to resolve issues.
9. Inform relevant parties about discrepancies and loan status.
10. Review and evaluate credit information for acceptability.
11. Pull or verify credit reports and flood certificates as needed.
12. Submit completed files for underwriting approval.
13. Obtain stipulations to clear prior to docs and funding.
14. Meet deadlines for disclosures, approval, and denial notices.
15. Process 4506T, lock confirmations, and COCs as needed.
16. Monitor pipeline to ensure timely funding.
17. Assist Post Closing Department as needed.

What You'll Need

• Maintain confidentiality of borrower information.
• Thorough knowledge of mortgage loan processing and underwriting guidelines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and office equipment.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to handle detailed tasks and prioritize workload.
• High School diploma or equivalent; 3+ years of loan processing experience.
• Experience with Encompass/Empower and AUS tools preferred.
