Job summary

LONGHORN STAFFING SOLUTIONS seeks an Electrical and Instrumentation Estimator for complex energy construction projects in the United States. You will drive cost estimates for electrical and instrumentation systems across conceptual through detailed design phases to ensure competitive yet profitable bids.

Responsibilities include analyzing drawings and specs, using Accubid to build and review estimates, coordinating with project teams, identifying scope gaps and risks, and maintaining cost

Qualifications

• 5+ years of E&I estimating experience in an industrial setting.
• Proficiency with RNG, renewable energy, and/or oil & gas projects preferred.
• Proficiency with Accubid estimating software is required.
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, instrumentation, controls, and applicable codes (NEC, ISA).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings, P&IDs, and specifications.

• Prepare complete E&I estimates from conceptual through detailed design phases, including labor, material, subcontractor, and equipment costs.
• Analyze RFPs, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to develop accurate bid packages for industrial, RNG, renewables, and oil & gas projects.
• Utilize Accubid software to build, manage, and review estimates with precision and efficiency.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations staff to validate assumptions and align on scope.
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions, and risks; clearly communicate to leadership during bid reviews.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
• Participate in bid strategy sessions and post-bid analysis to improve future estimating accuracy.
• Maintain an organized database of historical costs, productivity rates, and project data.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Electrical and Instrumentation Estimator will drive the success of complex construction projects. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating costs related to electrical and instrumentation systems,ensuring project bids are competitive yet profitable.
