Job summary

West 4th Strategy is seeking a Mid-Level SQL Database Administrator to support the U.S. Government Publishing Office contract.

You will perform day-to-day SQL Server administration, troubleshooting, and configuration under the guidance of the Senior DBA, with emphasis on capacity planning and system health monitoring. This full-time role involves handling RFCs, ServiceNow tickets, and multi-database environments (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MS Access) while supporting government

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on SQL Database Administrator experience in enterprise environments.
• Expertise across SQL Server, clustering, scripting and PL/SQL.
• Familiarity with multi-platform databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MS Access).
• Demonstrated ability to provision, patch, back up, monitor, and secure SQL environments.

Responsibilities

• Administer SQL Server, troubleshoot, and tune performance.
• Lead capacity planning and system health monitoring for SQL Server clusters.
• Manage RFCs and ServiceNow tickets in line with SLAs.
• Assist users with building and troubleshooting SQL databases.
• Produce weekly activity reports and maintain configuration docs.
