Job summary

West 4th Strategy seeks an experienced Mid-Level Oracle Database Administrator to support the U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) databases and related applications.

You will perform daily administration, troubleshooting, and configuration under the guidance of the Senior DBA, with a focus on capacity planning, health monitoring, and incident management. The role requires 4+ years of Oracle DBA experience, familiarity with cross-platform environments, and ability to work in a remote setting

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience in enterprise production environments.
• Expertise with Oracle, Grid, RMAN, and PL/SQL.
• Experience with multi-platform environments (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MS Access).
• Familiarity with ITSM/ticketing platforms (ServiceNow) and monitoring tools (Idera, SolarWinds).

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day Oracle database administration, troubleshooting, and configuration under guidance.
• Support capacity planning and system health monitoring for Oracle databases.
• Manage RFCs and ServiceNow tickets per SLAs.
• Assist internal users with Oracle databases and troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot Oracle backends and cross-platform integrations (e.g., SharePoint).
• Produce weekly activity reports documenting work outcomes.
• Escalate complex issues to Senior DBA as needed.
• Maintain documentation of configurations and procedures.
