Job summary

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Database Administrator (SQL/MySQL) to support enterprise-grade database operations in a DoD-aligned mission environment. You will manage maintenance plans, backups, monitoring, security, and performance across development, test, staging, and production environments.

This position is fully remote. The role requires an active Top Secret clearance, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and 5+ years of experience with SQL Server and MySQL.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience administering SQL and/or MySQL databases.
• Active Top Secret clearance with Tier 5 background.
• Experience supporting databases across development to production environments.
• Experience applying DoD RMF security controls.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Implement maintenance plans, database job schedules, and automated housekeeping routines.
• Execute backups and recovery operations with integrity validation.
• Apply patches and configuration changes per change control.
• Manage schema updates, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot query bottlenecks and system errors.
• Support RMF and DoD cybersecurity requirements for SQL/MySQL platforms.
• Maintain database documentation and runbooks.
• Collaborate with developers to optimize queries and integrations.
• Remediate vulnerabilities with cybersecurity teams and implement STIGs.
• Support data migrations and environment synchronization.
