Job summary

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) for a fully remote role across the US federal and DoD-aligned mission environment. You will manage daily operations, tuning, backups, and security for Oracle databases across development, test, staging, and production while ensuring compliance with DoD requirements.

The role requires 5+ years of Oracle DB administration, TS clearance, and a Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Database Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of Oracle database administration experience.
• Experience with development/test/prod environments and patching, monitoring.
• Experience applying DoD security requirements to Oracle systems.
• Strong SQL/PLSQL and indexing/query optimization skills.
• Knowledge of RMF controls, STIGs, encryption, and access controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage maintenance plans, job schedules, and database housekeeping routines.
• Execute backups, restores, and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.
• Apply patching, version updates, and configuration changes across environments.
• Support schema updates, indexing, and data structure enhancements.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and query bottlenecks across dev/test/prod.
• Maintain auditing, logging, encryption, and access controls per DoD requirements.
• Document configurations and operational processes.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity staff to remediate vulnerabilities and STIG findings.
• Support release cycles, data migrations, and environment synchronization.
• Provide recommendations for performance improvement and storage optimization.
