Job summary

Stout is offering a Spring Internship in Valuation Advisory (ESOP Practice). The program runs January through April 30, with a possible extension through May and 15–30 hours per week, depending on your schedule.

Remote work is available from anywhere in the U.S., giving interns client exposure and hands-on experience while working alongside experienced professionals. You will perform research, build financial models, and contribute to deliverables under senior supervision.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BA/BS degree required (junior or senior year preferred).
• Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Strong analytical, verbal, technical, and written skills with ability to interpret complex financial data.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth industry, market, and company research to identify assumptions and conclusions.
• Analyze and interpret complex financial statements, identifying trends and value drivers.
• Prepare due diligence questions and validate supporting documentation.
• Develop and analyze detailed financial models (DCF, Comparable, M&A).
• Exercise judgment in selecting valuation methodologies and key assumptions.
• Participate in client or management meetings providing input on methodologies and conclusions.
• Create deliverables and analyses including presentations and written narratives.
