Stout is seeking an Intern in the Valuation Advisory group (ESOP Practice) to assist on fairness and solvency opinions, ESOPs, and corporate planning. The internship runs January through April 30, with potential extension through May, and 15-30 hours per week based on availability.

Spring Interns may work remotely from anywhere in the United States. You will gain client exposure, work under mentors, and tackle real engagements alongside Stout professionals, with opportunities to develop

Qualifikationen

• Must be pursuing BA/BS degree (junior or senior preferred).
• Preferred coursework in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related discipline.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Strong academic record and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Ability to interpret complex financial data and synthesize insights.

Aufgaben

• Conduct in-depth industry, market, and company research to support assumptions and conclusions.
• Analyze financial statements to identify trends, risks, and value drivers that impact the valuation outcome.
• Prepare due diligence questions and evaluate supporting documentation to validate financial, operational, and market assumptions.
• Develop and analyze detailed financial models (Discounted Cash Flow, Guideline Public Company, and Merger and Acquisition).
• Exercise discretion and independent judgment in selecting appropriate valuation methodologies and key assumptions.
• Participate in client or management meetings providing substantive input on valuation methodologies, assumptions and conclusions; and
• Create comprehensive deliverables and supporting analyses for review by senior professionals and to clients.
