Job summary

TruArc Health is seeking a Specimen Collection Specialist for a remote/part-time role located around Irvine, CA. You will conduct specimen collection and processing at designated sites, maintaining a safe, professional environment for staff and patients.

The role requires EMT certification, a High School diploma, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record. Expect travel within Santa Ana/Orange County and 8 hours per week with day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Confirm and verify patient identification and update the lab system as needed.
• Collect patient specimens using nasopharyngeal, oropharyngeal, nasal, or throat swabs.
• Explain collection procedures to patients and answer questions about the process.
• Store and prepare samples for transport.
• Travel to site locations within Santa Ana and/or Orange County.
• Set up and take down the testing site at the start and end of each shift.
• Follow all Laboratory Policies and Procedures and safety protocols (PPE, OSHA).
• Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality is maintained.
• Greet all on-site individuals (employees, patients, visitors).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
