Job summary

CenterWell Pharmacy is seeking a Staff Specialty Operations Pharmacist to ensure compliant processing of specialty prescriptions mailed to patients. You will handle inbound calls from providers and patients, evaluate therapy for interactions and stability, and resolve escalated issues while following guidelines.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Active pharmacist license in AZ, FL, OH, or TX.
• Residence and full-time work in AZ, FL, OH, or TX.
• 2+ years of pharmacist experience in high-volume settings.
• Ability to participate in Federal prescription programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound calls from patients and providers to review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness of therapy.
• Check for drug interactions and use guidelines to support decision-making.
• Use problem-solving skills for professional decision-making.
• Follow established guidelines and department procedures; interpret and act accordingly.
• Make decisions with minimal direction, including in ambiguous situations.
• Work independently and within a team to achieve goals and deadlines.
• Maintain a strong work ethic delivering accurate work in a fast-paced environment.
