Job summary

Baptist Health Medical Group is seeking a Specialty Coder I to join our team in a remote capacity, with residency required in Kentucky or Indiana. Under supervision, you will code outpatient physician charges and CPT/diagnosis for various office and surgical services.

You should hold a high school diploma and CPC or CCS-P certification, with 1 year of specialty or surgical coding experience; 2+ years preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• CPC or CCS-P certification.
• 1 year of Specialty/Surgical Coding experience.
• Remote work eligible (KY/IN residency required).

Responsibilities

• With supervision, codes diagnosis and procedures for outpatient physician charges at the Clinic level including Evaluation and Management levels, in office procedures, procedures/surgeries in multiple settings and other clinic/outpatient coding as assigned.
• Reviews the medical records thoroughly to facilitate the collection of patient care information.
• Codes diagnosis and CPT for office and Surgical services for providers.
