South Carolina Bridge Connections Academy is seeking a Special Education Teacher to remotely manage instructional programs for students with special needs across South Carolina. You will collaborate with learning coaches and other educators, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and guiding IEP processes.

The role emphasizes virtual instruction delivery, use of Learning Management Systems, and coordination with service providers when needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Special Education or related field.
• Certification in a core content area is preferred.
• Experience with IDEA policy and/or administration is a plus.
• Strong technology skills, especially with Microsoft Office products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer-focused approach and high adaptability.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a team.

Responsabilités

• Manage and provide instructional guidance and virtual teaching for a caseload of students.
• Develop, write and help implement IEPs and 504 plans.
• Evaluate tests and assessments, complete report cards and conduct parent conferences.
• Communicate regularly with parents/learning coaches to meet IEP goals.
• Coordinate with teachers and district professionals to implement specially designed instruction.
• Provide direct services to students via virtual platforms as needed.
• Schedule and conduct IEP meetings in a virtual environment.
• Support Student Support Team in developing program modifications and strategies.
