Job summary

Arizona Connections Academy (ACA) is seeking a certified special education teacher to work from home and support K-12 students across Arizona. The role focuses on delivering instruction, designing and implementing IEPs, and coordinating related services through web-based platforms.

You will communicate regularly with learning coaches and parents, evaluate assessments, and conduct conferences to ensure students meet their IEP goals. Occasional travel for events may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education.
• Arizona K-12 Special Education credential or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of experience in special education.
• Knowledge of IDEA policy and/or administration for special education.
• Strong technology skills with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer-focused approach and strong collaboration abilities.
• High flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and use personal devices for work.

Responsibilities

• Manage instructional programs and provide virtual teaching for a caseload of students.
• Develop, write and help implement IEPs and 504 plans.
• Evaluate tests and assessments, complete report cards and conduct parent conferences.
• Regularly communicate with parents/learning coaches to ensure IEP goals are met.
• Coordinate specially designed instruction with teachers for students needing IEP services.
• Provide direct services to students via web conferencing as needed.
• Schedule IEP meetings in a virtual environment and participate in Student Support Team.
• Assist with documentation and paperwork for the IEP process and locate service providers.
• Administer state testing and coordinate required adaptations.
