Colearn Academy is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students with disabilities in an online learning environment. This role delivers SDI 1:1 and in small groups, partners with general education teachers, and ensures IEP goals are met.

The ideal candidate lives in Arizona, holds an Arizona Special Education certification, and brings strong communication and technology skills to build trusting relationships with families and students.

Competenze

• Must reside in Arizona.
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Valid Arizona Special Education certification (LD, Multi-Categorical, or related area).
• Experience teaching or supporting students with disabilities in a virtual or hybrid environment is preferred.
• Strong understanding of IDEA, IEP development, and progress monitoring.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and technology skills.
• Committed to working with families as partners in the learning process.

Mansioni

• Provide SDI to students in reading, writing, math, and/or executive functioning based on IEP goals.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt lessons, modify assignments, and support student success in the virtual classroom.
• Conduct breakout sessions during live classes to offer targeted support for students with IEPs.
• Develop and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Collect progress-monitoring data and report on goal achievement.
• Communicate regularly with parents, general education teachers, and the intervention team to ensure alignment and support.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance within timelines.
• Engage in professional development and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
