Job summary

Parallel is seeking experienced Special Education Teachers to provide virtual instruction to K-12 students in Arizona, with an Arizona Moderate/Severe Disabilities endorsement.

You will design and deliver specially designed instruction (SDI) and compensatory education, manage IEPs, collaborate with IEP teams, and use technology to support reading, math, and life skills, while committing to a minimum of 15 hours per week during traditional school hours.

Qualifications

• Active Arizona educator license/certification with Moderate/Severe Disabilities, PreK-12 Endorsement.
• School-based experience providing specially designed instruction and working effectively with diverse student populations.
• Exceptional collaborative communication skills for engaging with IEP teams, including teachers, parents, and students.
• Proficiency in conducting virtual services using meeting platforms and a strong command of instructional technology.
• Remote setup with a dedicated, private workspace, high-speed internet, a reliable computer, and webcam.
• Availability during traditional school hours (8:00am - 4:00pm) and Monday-Friday.
• Commitment to a minimum availability of 15 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Deliver legally compliant, specially designed instruction (SDI) and compensatory education services for students with active IEPs.
• Develop and execute data-driven, individualized lesson plans targeting reading, literacy, math, executive function, and life skills.
• Own the creation, management, and ongoing progress monitoring of student IEPs and case management responsibilities.
• Collaborate with the student's IEP team to coordinate service schedules and tailor instructional approaches.
• Administer screenings, conduct progress monitoring, and complete formal outcomes assessments to guide decisions.
