The position emphasizes strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills, with travel up to 20% and a requirement to obtain Ohio certification if not yet held.

Qualifications

• State of Ohio Intervention Specialist License required.
• Bachelor's degree and equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
• Master’s Degree in Special Education preferred.
• 3+ years classroom experience in Special Education preferred.
• Minimum 1 year classroom experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Modify and adapt K12 curriculum to meet each student’s needs in alignment with state standards.
• Write and maintain compliant IEPs for students with special needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to meet student goals.
• Educate parents on instructional strategies and progress.
• Prepare appropriate documentation and manage IEP meetings.
• Coordinate and facilitate IEP meetings; coordinate related services.
