Job summary

Mountain BOCES Au Special District seeks a Field Supervisor (Special Education) for its Alternative Licensure Program. The role focuses on coaching, mentoring, and coordinating with alternative teachers and principals, with a strong remote work component.

The position is part-time with varying hours; compensation is a per-candidate stipend, and successful candidates will support program goals while staying compliant with licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related field.
• Current or ability to maintain CDE Special Education Teacher License.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching in a special education classroom.
• Minimum of 3 years coaching, mentoring, and advising adults.
• Meets CDE license requirements; willingness to complete required training.
• Preferred Master's Degree and CDE Administrative License.

Responsibilities

• Stay current with education laws, standards, and professional learning tech.
• Meet with each alternative teacher/principal's team twice annually.
• Observe each alternative teacher/principal twice annually.
• Collaborate with district and BOCES staff to support candidates.
• Attend BOCES and program meetings as appropriate.
• Maintain all required paperwork and forms.
