Alignerr is seeking a Spanish Audio Transcriptionist (AI Training) to create precise, verbatim transcripts of Peninsular Spanish audio from New York-based remote locations. This hourly contract role requires strong listening skills, meticulous attention to detail, and adherence to detailed style guidelines.

You will work independently on-demand, handling crosstalk, multiple speakers, and varied audio quality to produce clean transcripts that train AI systems to understand real conversations.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native speaker of Spain Spanish (Castilian) with intuitive vocabulary and expressions.
• Exceptional listening skills and attention to detail in transcription.
• Comfortable working with imperfect audio: background noise, fast speech, interruptions, overlapping dialogue.

Responsibilities

• Listen to audio recordings in Peninsular Spanish and produce accurate, verbatim transcriptions following detailed style and formatting guidelines.
• Handle challenging audio scenarios — crosstalk, overlapping speakers, filled pauses, background noise, and varying audio quality.
• Identify and differentiate between multiple speakers within a single recording.
• Apply consistent formatting for timestamps, speaker labels, non-verbal sounds, and unclear segments.
