Job summary

ARES Corporation seeks a Human Spaceflight Range / System Safety Engineer to join its engineering team supporting ULA and NASA's Artemis program. This role focuses on ground and range safety requirements, Centaur V integration, and AFSS for crewed Artemis missions.

The successful candidate will apply system safety engineering to vehicle, ground, and range interfaces, perform hazard analyses, and coordinate with NASA safety offices to support reviews and certification.

Qualifications

• Background in System Safety Engineering for aerospace systems.
• Experience with hazard reports and safety certification.
• Familiarity with NASA safety standards and range safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support system safety activities for Centaur V across flight, ground, and range interfaces.
• Perform hazard analyses and risk mitigation for vehicle and range safety functions.
• Evaluate AFSS design, interfaces, and verification for human-rating and safety certification.
• Prepare safety data and coordinate with NASA and range safety reviews.
