Job summary

Lanteris Space Systems, a subsidiary of Intuitive Machines, is seeking a Software Development Engineer to design and implement software for spacecraft simulators in San Jose, CA or a US remote location. You will read ICDs, develop software models, and deploy via CI/CD while collaborating cross-functionally.

Requirements include a BS in a related field, 2+ years of software development experience (C++ preferred), Linux proficiency, and experience with CI/CD and testing frameworks. U.S.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen able to obtain government security clearance.
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Aerospace Engineering; master’s may count as 2 years experience.
• 2+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in simulation.
• Proficiency with Linux and common software development tools; experience with CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement models of spacecraft components for simulators.
• Read ICDs and hardware specs to develop accurate software models.
• Enhance existing simulation codebases while preserving architecture.
• Deploy code via CI/CD pipelines and write automated tests.
• Collaborate with software and systems engineers on system design.
• Write unit, integration, and system tests for software applications.
• Participate in customer-facing design reviews and technical discussions.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge with the team.
• Maintain best practices and documentation.
