Job summary

Nana Management Services, LLC is seeking a Remote Sous Chef to lead culinary operations across Retail, Patient, and Catering for Maniilaq Health Association in Kotzebue, AK. The role emphasizes menu development, HACCP adherence, safety, and staff development while ensuring quality in food service.

Housing and daily meals are provided; position may rotate 6x2 or 4x2. This role starts from Anchorage, AK with occasional travel to NANA Region villages.

Qualifications

• Must have High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Alaska Food Handlers Card or ServSafe certification within 30 days of hire.
• Two years of Sous Chef experience in a commercial kitchen with supervisory duties.
• Able to follow standardized recipes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead culinary production for Retail, Patient, and Catering operations.
• Oversee menu planning, development, and adherence to nutritional standards.
• Maintain quality control and ensure HACCP compliance.
• Manage inventory, par levels, and supply needs.
• Conduct pre-service meetings and provide on-the-spot coaching.
• Supervise and train food service staff and coordinate daily tasks.
• Ensure sanitation and safety across work areas and serving lines.
