Job summary

Scion Staffing, Inc. is seeking a Sourcing & Procurement Analyst for a fully remote 4+ month contract, PST hours. The role supports strategic sourcing, supplier evaluations, and negotiations, translating purchasing data into actionable insights.

IT category exp., RFx exposure, and strong Excel skills are highly valued. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in analysis or reporting, a bachelor’s in a related field, and a track record of driving cost savings across industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, finance, economics, or accounting.
• 3+ years of experience in analysis, financial or operational reporting.
• Strong procurement and strategic sourcing, including negotiation and RFx experiences.
• Proficiency in Excel, with pivot tables, lookups, and Power Query.
• Ability to interpret data and develop meaningful reports.
• Experience with IT procurement or related software/hardware/SAAS preferred.
• Procurement experience in logistics or manufacturing is welcome.
• Retail industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with client stakeholders to gather information and support strategic sourcing, RFx activities, supplier evaluations, and negotiations.
• Transform purchasing and operational data into actionable insights, including root cause analysis and cost pattern reviews.
• Develop and maintain category reporting covering spending, savings, lead times, and supplier management.
• Prepare analytics and reporting for quarterly business reviews, highlighting sourcing progress and savings results.
• Support supplier relationship management, supplier scorecards, and supplier diversity initiatives.
• Provide ongoing procurement and analytical support to category leaders while coordinating information between client stakeholders and the service delivery team.
