Job summary

Lithic is hiring a Solutions Engineer to design and deliver technical product solutions for client needs, acting as the bridge between Lithic and customers. You’ll own complex client relationships from pre-sale through implementation, helping partners design integrations and unlock Lithic's card issuing infrastructure.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop tailored solutions, and demonstrate the platform’s value while ensuring regulatory and network compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or similar customer-facing roles.
• 3–5 years of FinTech experience, especially payments or card issuance.
• Strong understanding of APIs and complex technical concepts, with ability to translate to business terms.
• Excellent communication skills for diverse internal stakeholders.
• Strong presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Good product sense and ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Team player with strong collaboration and storytelling abilities.
• Experience in a startup or fast-growing environment with ambiguity handling.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted technical advisor to a portfolio of strategic clients.
• Lead discovery to capture goals, environments, and requirements.
• Translate client needs into integration designs and plans.
• Own client relationships through scoping, build, launch, and optimization.
• Develop deep API and platform capability expertise.
• Guide integration decisions including auth flows and tokenization.
• Review implementations to identify risks and optimization opportunities.
• Partner with Account Executives to support pre-sales and proposals.
• Collaborate with Product/Engineering to surface feedback and roadmap input.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and network requirements.
• Document solutions and mentor junior team members.
