Job summary

Aon is seeking a Solutions Consultant to join the Consumer Benefits Solutions team. This remote role covers the Continental United States and focuses on communicating product value propositions to prospective clients and supporting the sales process through to contract hand-off.

The role requires expertise in voluntary benefit products, carrier evaluations, and collaborative work with sales leaders to deliver value-based solutions. Aon offers comprehensive benefits and incentives.

Qualifications

• Three plus years of employee benefits industry experience.
• Three plus years managing project schedules.
• Experience working in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Interpersonal skills to help negotiate priorities and resolve conflicts among project stakeholders.
• Maintain a cordial and effective relationship with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors and other business contacts.
• Excellent verbal, writing and listening skills and the ability to multitask and organize.
• Sales and other client engagement experience is a plus.
• Excellent Microsoft Office suite skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Maintain subject matter expertise on Voluntary Benefit products and carriers.
• Maintain expertise in proprietary and 3rdparty Benefits Administration systems.
• Articulate and communicate value proposition and key differentiators.
• Develop a high level working knowledge of other practice area solutions.
• Collaborate with Sales Leaders to communicate market knowledge and sales process and to keep abreast of operations.
• Partner with practice consulting arm to strengthen integration.
• Educate Sales Consultants on specific strategies, solutions, and industry changes.
• Maintain RFP Content.
• Partner with internal partners for RFP requests to ensure a streamlined and efficient process.
• Assists Sales Leaders in the development of prospect sales strategy.
• Responsible for defining the scope for the engagement.
• Enables and articulates a strong value-based message on any sales opportunities.
• Leads system demonstration in sales meetings.
• Prepares follow up client/TPE/carrier question responses with Sales Leaders.
• Performs due diligence to scope work and provide input to strategic questions required for defining the opportunity.
• Works with the Sales Leaders to request missing information from the Third Party Evaluator (TPE), client or carriers.
• Reviews discovery document outlining the detailed solution.
• Tailors materials and demo based on solution, client need and competitive landscape.
• Collaborates on Carrier and Product Selection.
• Assists on Contract/Statement of Work creation and execution.
