Description
The Inbound Sales Representative helps customers identify and purchase vending machines, smart coolers, micro markets, and other automated retail solutions. This position works exclusively with company-generated inbound leads from individuals and businesses that have already expressed interest in our products and services.
This is a consultative sales role focused on understanding customer needs, recommending solutions, and guiding customers through the purchasing process from initial inquiry to close. The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships, uncovering customer needs, and helping customers make informed purchasing decisions. No cold calling, door-to-door sales, or self-generated prospecting is required.
Success in this role requires the ability to manage multiple customer conversations and communication channels throughout the day while remaining fully engaged with each prospective customer. We value responsiveness and efficiency, but never at the expense of the customer experience. The ideal candidate understands when to move quickly and when to slow down, ask thoughtful questions, and take the time necessary to earn the sale.
This role is best suited for a sales professional who combines a consultative approach with a strong closing mindset. Successful candidates are comfortable guiding customers toward decisions, addressing objections directly, and confidently asking for the sale when the proposed solution meets the customer's needs.

Summary
Founded in 1931 by F.A. Wittern Sr. with an initial investment of $12.50, The Wittern Group has grown from a small Iowa business into a diversified provider of vending, automated dispensing, inventory control, cashless systems, software, and wireless communication solutions. Across more than nine decades, the company has continued to adapt its products and services as technology, customer expectations, and markets have changed.
The Wittern Group remains privately held, with the Wittern family continuing as owners and advisors. The company describes employees as part of its extended family and supports employee and family development through career-growth opportunities, tuition assistance, and a scholarship program for employees’ children.
Today, the company is building on its long history of innovation as automated and contactless retail continues to expand. We are growing our sales organization, modernizing our offerings and sales approach, working with partner companies to broaden the solutions available to customers, and exploring emerging technologies, including AI-enhanced and touchless retail experiences. These forward-looking initiatives are intentionally described broadly because specific products and development programs continue to evolve.
Joining The Wittern Group offers an uncommon combination: the stability and perspective of a company founded in 1931, the people-focused values of a privately held organization, and the opportunity to help shape the next generation of automated retail and self-service commerce.
