Job summary
Databricks Inc. is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead the technical strategy for customers, owning architecture discussions, driving platform adoption, and serving as a trusted advisor to customer technical leads and architects.
You will develop a technical specialization and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver complex, production-grade data and AI solutions. Ideal candidates bring 6+ years in solutions architecture, strong Python/SQL coding, and deep distributed data systems
Qualifications
- 6+ years in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or a senior hands-on technical role
- Strong coding proficiency in Python and SQL with demonstrated live coding, debugging, and solution-building
- Deep expertise in distributed data systems architecture: pipelines, streaming, lakehouse patterns, cloud-native platforms
- Proficiency with Databricks Platform and a developing specialization in one area (e.g., real-time/streaming, ML/AI, data governance)
- Proven ability to lead architecture discussions with senior tech stakeholders
- Experience with production deployments on public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including security and governance
- Track record of driving platform adoption and customer value
- Excellent communication translating architectures to business value
- Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end technical strategy for accounts from discovery to production deployment
- Lead complex architecture discussions for scalable, production-grade solutions
- Serve as trusted technical advisor to customer architects and Directors
- Drive technical wins by demonstrating Databricks differentiation
- Develop a technical specialization and be a go-to resource
- Coordinate cross-functional resources to deliver complex customer solutions
- Influence product direction with customer feedback and competitive analysis
