Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Solution Architect for a remote US-based role. The engineer will shepherd projects from Sales to Service, deploying Computer Aided Dispatch, Mobile Apps, and Records Management Systems.

The role owns project scope, interfaces, customer interaction, and collaborates with the project manager to ensure on-time delivery within Schedule, Scope and Cost. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in systems integration, software engineering, or IT, with expertise in Windows

Qualifications

• Requires 4+ years in Systems Integration, Software Engineering, Product Development, System Test, System Support or Information Technology.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, information technology or related field required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed for customer engagements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and implements customer installation activities in a time-sensitive manner.
• Elicits customer requirements and communicates technical details to all levels of the organization.
• Understands Public Safety customer environments for product security and reliability.
• Delivers solutions within the context of defined products, standard interfaces, and limited flexibility.
• General software and IP network debugging skills are critical; must be a problem solver.
• Installs, integrates, deploys, and delivers defined solutions.
• Identifies product defects and monitors resolution from engineering to customer acceptance.
• Tracks billable hours for projects; trains new team members; travels to customers as needed.
