Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking an Autodesk Inventor Specialist to contribute advanced CAD modeling and documentation for a cutting-edge AI-meets-mechanical project. You will developparametric 3D models and engineering drawings while ensuring GD&T compliance and manufacturability.

Remote contractor role requiring strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and meticulous attention to detail. Prior AI experience is not required; CAD expertise is the focus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on parametric CAD modeling; 10+ years for complex design tasks.
• Expert Autodesk Inventor proficiency; familiarity with FreeCAD/SolidWorks/Fusion 360 valued.
• Experience applying GD&T ASME Y14.5 in production environments.
• DFM experience across injection molding, sheet metal, CNC, and casting.

Responsibilities

• Develop fully parametric 3D CAD models of mechanical parts and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor or equivalent.
• Modify and update existing CAD models while preserving parametric integrity.
• Audit CAD models for dimensional accuracy, GD&T compliance, manufacturability, and quality.
• Create, interpret, and validate detailed engineering drawings per ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards.
• Apply DFM across manufacturing processes including injection molding, sheet metal, CNC, and casting.
• Document design decisions, engineering rationale, model revisions, and audit findings.
