Job summary

Samuel Knight Energy & Digital Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Solar Project Manager to oversee utility-scale solar projects across the United States. This remote role prefers candidates based in Illinois or Indiana and requires coordinating EPC contractors, internal teams, and clients to deliver safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Responsibilities include scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and reporting, while ensuring health, safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience managing utility-scale solar projects in EPC/construction environments.
• Strong understanding of solar construction across civil, mechanical, and electrical scopes.
• Experience with budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and multiple stakeholders.
• Commercial awareness including forecasting, change management, and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Manage utility-scale solar projects from pre-construction through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.
• Coordinate EPC contractors, subcontractors, engineering, procurement and construction activities.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement corrective actions to keep delivery on track.
• Oversee cost control, change orders, contract administration and reporting.
• Maintain relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Work with site teams to resolve construction challenges and achieve milestones.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, quality standards and regulations.
