Job summary

WCG Clinical, Inc. is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join the Quality Engineering team.

You will support testing, validation, and delivery of WCG named products and systems, using established SDLC practices, manual and automated testing, and close collaboration with software engineers and business analysts. You will contribute to automated regression suites with Playwright, maintain test artifacts in Zephyr/JIRA, and participate in AI-augmented testing tool evaluations within a regulated

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of software QA/test engineering experience; clinical trial, or life sciences domain experience is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise test management tools such as Zephyr (or equivalent Xray/TestRail) or Helix ALM (Test Track).
• Experience executing and contributing to automated regression suites with Playwright
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, risk-based testing, and software/validation testing life cycles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to translate product and protocol requirements into test cases, validation deliverables, and automated test scripts.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements and design documentation to ensure testability and alignment with clinical trial protocol and system design specs.
• Develop and execute test and validation activities using risk-based methodologies; maintain CSV docs and traceability matrices.
• Contribute to automated test suites using Playwright across UI, API, and real-time components.
• Maintain test cases and traces in Zephyr/JIRA or equivalent tools.
• Conduct and build comprehensive manual regression tests to ensure release quality.
• Prepare data sets to test logic, error handling, and workflows; perform load and performance testing.
• Report and track defects in JIRA; ensure remediation and re-validation.
• Support CI/CD test suites and AI-augmented testing tool evaluation.
