Job summary

The NuScale Enterprise Software Team at NuScale Power, LLC seeks a limited‑engagement staff augmentation to update software plans, procedures and work instructions for design and analysis engineering under an NQA‑1 quality framework. This contract role (approximately 12 months, 40 hrs/week) may be performed remotely within the contiguous United States with travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or 10+ years of directly applicable experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in development and/or implementation of nuclear quality assurance programs.
• Experience with ASME BPVC Section III programs is a plus.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills; capable of coordinating conflicting demands and priorities (required).
• Strong technical writing skills, good communication and interpersonal skills; able to manage complex projects with multiple work phases (required).
• Experience creating and maintaining documents per ASME NQA-1, IEEE 7-4.3.2, and NRC Regulatory Guides in software (1.52, 1.168, 1.169, 1.170, 1.171, 1.172, 1.173) (required).
• Experience in code development under a quality program (preferred).
• Eligible to work under DOE 10 CFR Part 810.

Responsibilities

• Leads the adequacy and efficiency evaluation of existing software programmatic infrastructure against NQA-1 2008/2009a and 2022 quality frameworks
• Prepares plans, procedures and desktop instructions for software in compliance with NQA-1 and applicable IEEE standards.
• Provide guidance to other departments in meeting applicable software regulations, as needed
• Performs other duties are assigned.
