Job summary

The Home Depot is offering a Summer Internship designed to develop leadership and software engineering skills in a real-world setting. Over 11 weeks from May 17 to July 30, 2027, interns join a product team to design, develop, and ship production code with guidance from senior engineers.

Interns will work on assigned projects across functions, participate in networking and development activities, and may travel to the Atlanta office. Remote options are available for most of the program.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an advanced degree.
• 0-1 years of relevant work experience.
• Interest in working in a collaborative, cross‑functional, modern software design team.
• Exposure to HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, ReactJS and jQuery.
• Exposure to version control systems (Git).
• Experience in group environments or paired programming.
• Preferred GPA 3.0 or above.

Responsibilities

• Planning & Analysis: Use critical thinking to approach problems and create solutions.
• Delivery & Support: Collaborate with product team members to create secure, reliable software solutions.
• Learning: Participate in learning activities around modern software design and development practices.
• Review: Review and discuss code with senior engineers to understand best practices and design patterns.
• Increase business acumen by learning about other parts of the business.
