Job summary

The Home Depot offers a 11-week Summer Internship designed to develop leadership and hands-on experience in a corporate setting. Interns will work with a functional team such as Cybersecurity, Analytics, or Technology and tackle a pre-assigned project while participating in networking and development activities.

Interns focus on cybersecurity areas, learn through real-world tasks, and may travel to the Atlanta office for up to 3 weeks; travel is covered for eligible interns.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a relevant degree in cybersecurity, CS, IS, or a related field.
• 0–1 years of relevant work experience is acceptable.
• Interest in working in a cross-functional engineering team.
• Solid understanding of Internet fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP).
• Familiarity with coding and security concepts.

Responsibilities

• Deploy technologies to establish data privacy and security controls.
• Help improve application security and manage vulnerabilities.
• Establish methods for securing connected or "smart" devices.
• Develop cyber monitoring and security analytics solutions.
