Job summary

One Call seeks a Software Engineer to contribute across the software development life cycle, collaborating with business analysts and product managers to deliver reliable applications for internal teams and external customers.

The role emphasizes SDLC adherence, strong communication, and the ability to work independently or in teams within a fast-paced environment while supporting the company’s remote-first culture.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles (waterfall, iterative, agile, etc).
• Proficiency in business modeling and requirements definition.
• Excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Provides application software development services or technical support in defined projects.
• Follows One Call SDLC Standards.
• Develops program logic for new applications or analyzes/modifies logic in existing apps.
• Codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements and maintains software applications.
• Maintains, tests and integrates application components.
• Ensures that system improvements are implemented successfully.
• Demonstrates understanding of One Call systems and the workers' compensation industry.
• Participates in planning and analysis phases of SD projects.
• Translates business requirements into product designs and writes technical specifications.
