Job summary

One Call is seeking a Software Engineer to participate in designing, coding, testing, implementing and maintaining software used by internal partners and customers. This role emphasizes delivering value in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.

You will collaborate with business analysts, product managers and other engineers to ensure timely delivery and quality, while following SDLC standards. Entry-level professionals are welcome, with growth opportunities across the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience with varied software development lifecycles including agile and waterfall.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Familiarity with software development best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provides application software development services or technical support.
• Follows One Call SDLC Standards.
• Develops program logic for new applications or modifies existing logic.
• Codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements and maintains software.
• Maintains, tests and integrates application components.
• Ensures system improvements are implemented successfully.
• Translates business requirements into product designs.
• Writes technical specifications and documentation.
• Suggests technical alternatives and improves processes and systems.
• Completes project assignments and special projects as needed.
• Plans, analyzes and forecasts project tasks.
