One Call is hiring as a Software Engineer II to design, code, test, and support software applications used by internal teams and external customers. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality solutions within One Call SDLC standards, collaborating with business analysts and product managers.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in CS/IS or equivalent and demonstrates strong communication, problem solving, and time management skills in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
• Familiarity with various SDLC methodologies (waterfall, iterative, agile) and strong requirements definition skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provides application software development services or technical support typically in a defined project.
• Follows One Call SDLC Standards.
• Develops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications.
• Codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements and maintains software applications.
• Maintains, tests and integrates application components.
• Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented.
• Demonstrates an understanding of One Call systems and the workers compensation industry.
• Participates in planning and analysis of SD projects.
• Translates business requirements into product designs and writes technical specifications.
