Job summary

One Call is seeking a Software Engineer II to design, code, test, and maintain software used by internal teams and external customers. You’ll collaborate with business analysts and product managers to deliver tasks on time and within budget, while following established SDLC standards.

This remote-first role requires 2–5 years of experience in application development and a BA/BS in CS or IS. You’ll contribute to a fast-paced environment and align with One Call's values and mission.

Responsibilities

• Provides application software development services or technical support in defined projects.
• Follows One Call SDLC Standards.
• Develops or modifies program logic for applications.
• Codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements and maintains software applications.
• Maintains, tests and integrates application components.
• Ensures improvements are implemented successfully.
• Demonstrates understanding of One Call systems and workers' compensation industry.
• Participates in planning and analysis phases of projects.
• Translates requirements into product designs and writes technical specs.
• Suggests technical alternatives and process improvements.
• Completes project assignments and special tasks.
• Plans, analyzes and forecasts project tasks.
• May provide leadership or guidance to other technical staff.
