Job summary

American Specialty Health Incorporated is seeking a passionate Software Engineer II to analyze, design, develop and maintain software applications using the latest Microsoft technologies with minimal supervision.

Remote Worker Guidelines support WFH with company equipment; require stable internet (50/10 Mbps minimum, 100/20 Mbps recommended) for video meetings. Responsibilities include mentoring juniors and refactoring legacy components while collaborating with product owners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer, or technical field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience performing computer programming with ASP.Net, VB.Net, C#, SQL.
• Experience with web development in a client/server setup.
• Experience with relational database design and queries (MySQL or MS SQL).
• OOA/OOD in large enterprise applications.
• Experience with web services and XML/XSLT.

Responsibilities

• Design, development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of software applications
• Performs routine programming assignments under Manager’s supervision
• Develops understanding of application, standards and business knowledge
• Unit testing as applicable
• Provide time estimates and compare with actuals to improve estimating
• Mentor junior programmers
• Refactor legacy components
• Communicate with product owner and end users
