Funnel Leasing, Inc. is hiring a Software Engineer L1 (Entry to Mid-Level) to work from anywhere in the U.S. You will build and maintain software with senior engineers, product managers, and designers. Strong CS foundation and problem-solving are valued as you contribute to impactful projects.

The salary range is $70,000 - $90,000 per year, reflecting entry to mid-level responsibilities and growth opportunities in a fully remote U.S.-based role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, software engineering, or related field.
• 0-2 years software engineering experience, including internships or projects.
• Experience with Python (Django) for backend and JavaScript (React) for frontend.
• Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, HTML, CSS, and web tech.
• Familiar with version control, testing, debugging, and code reviews.
• Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools while applying sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code to develop new features.
• Write unit tests and end-to-end tests for reliability and quality.
• Troubleshoot bugs and improve performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Leverage AI-assisted coding tools to improve productivity.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions to grow skills.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Travel: <5%.
