Job summary

Allied Benefit Systems is seeking a Software Engineer I to maintain and develop software for healthcare services. You will participate in agile sprints, write tests, and help ensure high quality releases.

The role emphasizes collaboration, problem solving, and adherence to privacy and security requirements. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of Microsoft stack experience, strong OO/SOLID understanding, and ability to work with RESTful APIs and SQL Server.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years’ experience developing software on Microsoft stack.
• Strong understanding of SOLID and object‑oriented programming.
• Collaborative team player with good communication.
• Solid grasp of SDLC lifecycle and QA processes.
• Experience with SQL Server development and stored procedures.
• Proficient in debugging and troubleshooting across stacks.
• Exposure to Agile development and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure or AWS).
• Familiarity with Joget and legacy VB6 / classic ASP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and release software changes and enhancements.
• Maintain test-driven development to improve quality and CI/CD.
• Work with QA to build automation tests.
• Collaborate with managers to complete tasks and meet goals.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy and security considerations.
• Attend required continuing education and training.
