Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Software Engineer Content Platform to join a leader in the Media space. You will drive cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence across engineering, product, operations, and business teams.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship. Compensation: $164,200 – $229,900 annually. You will influence architecture, execution quality, and technology capabilities for long-term growth in a Media environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience in production setting
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency in backend programming languages: Go, Python, C++, or Java
• Experience with databases such as Cassandra, Postgres, or Redis
• Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure like Kubernetes, gRPC, AWS/GCP
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
• Prior experience with high-rate platform services and API design is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver software to enhance the company’s products' availability and efficiency
• Deep dive into a suite of Go services and monolith Python codebase
• Implement system-level improvements and complex code modifications
• Identify and discuss platform gaps for long-term evolution
• Collaborate cross-functionally and solicit customer feedback
• Share on-call responsibilities and support reliability monitoring
• Hone technical and soft skills continuously
