Job summary

Ladders, a leader in information technology, is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead the engineering team in cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence. You will coordinate across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions.

Remote in the US: you will own the platform roadmap, mentor engineers, and drive architectural decisions to enable long-term growth and high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent education/experience.
• Minimum 2 years managing software engineering teams.
• Experience with platforms or infrastructures supporting multiple products.
• Proven ability to develop technical roadmaps balancing stakeholder needs with scalability.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in an object-oriented language like C# or Java with .NET experience.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the Engineering team including planning and execution.
• Build and nurture a high-performing engineering team through mentoring and feedback.
• Own and prioritize the platform roadmap focusing on scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand strategies and technical constraints.
• Translate shared needs into reusable services and tools to boost efficiency.
• Facilitate architectural decisions and design discussions on platform standards.
• Serve as the technical point of accountability, engaging in code reviews and troubleshooting efforts.
• Promote excellence in engineering practices, emphasizing continuous improvement.
