Job summary

GeoDelphi, Inc. dba Whitespace is seeking a mid-to-senior software engineer for a fully remote role supporting AFRL projects. You will develop population simulation software, collaborate with customers, and drive software in back-end tools and geospatial data workflows.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience, strong Java and Python skills, and a solid grounding in DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud platforms. Occasional travel and a U.S. citizen status are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a software engineering role.
• Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production software.
• Ability to define architecture requirements and establish standards.
• Experience with Java and Python; strong DevOps understanding.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, GitLab, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Nexus.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, design, modify, write, implement, and test software for population simulation.
• Collaborate with customers to define requirements and schedules.
• Work with Agile teams to design, test, and support solutions.
• Write well-designed, testable Java code and optimize performance.
• Contribute to releases and provide technical support for infra questions.
