Job summary

AttainX, Inc. is seeking a Software Developer III to support DHS/CISA OBP initiatives.

This remote, full-time role requires designing, developing, and sustaining secure software systems, with emphasis on reliability and accessible user experiences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize applications, implement RESTful APIs, perform testing, and participate in CI/CD pipelines while adhering to security and accessibility standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or related field.
• 4-7 years of related software development experience.
• Experience with web applications, components, and accessible UI.
• RESTful APIs, OAuth 2.0 or SAML knowledge.
• Relational databases and SQL experience.
• Cloud development, migration, and scalable design.
• Git, Agile, CI/CD experience.
• Automated testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Secure coding practices and vulnerability remediation.
• Section 508 accessibility knowledge and application to interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, test, and maintain secure software applications and components.
• Translate user needs into features with guidance from seniors.
• Build intuitive user interfaces following branding and accessibility standards.
• Develop APIs and service integrations; implement authentication/authorization controls.
• Create database queries and ensure data quality across workflows.
• Support cloud migration and preserve functionality and data integrity.
• Apply secure coding and participate in code reviews.
• Create unit/integration/regression tests and document results.
• Participate in agile planning and communicate progress to the team.
• Maintain documentation and support knowledge transfer.
